FAI YOUNG ARTISTS CONTEST 2006

Aero Club of India (ACI) established in 1927, is the apex body of all the flying clubs, gliding clubs and other aerosports organizations in India, which are engaged in Powered flying , Glider Flying , Skydiving , Hang Gliding, Balooning, Microlight flying, Parasailing, Aeromodelling and such aerosports activities.ACI is a National Sports Federation recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India.

Aero Club of India is affiliated to the International Organisation, Federation Aeronautique Internationmale (FAI) Switzerland, who are sole International Sporting body in the world, qualified to make and enforce rules to encourage and control all sporting aviation events and records, both for aeronautics and astronautics. ACI represent India in the FAI and perform their functions in this country.

Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI) organizes YOUNG ARTISTS CONTEST every year through their about a hundred member countries National Aero Clubs (NAC) to create airmindedness among the youth and to promote aviation. ACI has been organizing YOUNG ARTISTS CONTEST for the past nfew years and received overwhelming response.

Reference may kindly be made to our letter No. ACI/FAI/2004-05 dated 2nd December 2004 reggarding FAI Young Artists Contests 2005 in which Ms Lakshmi Shree AJS, a student from Bethesda School, NTM, 51 Railway Parallel road, Kumara Park West, Bangalore, won first prize, Gold Medal, for India.

ACI would like to organize the FAI YOUNG ARTISTS CONTEST 2006 as a national event so that the young children of our country, could participate in this Global Competition and show their talent. The detailed Circular including terms and conditions, etc. is enclosed.

I would, therefore, request to kindly issue suitable instructions to the concerned departments along with the above circular so as to cover the students throughout the country and make the above Contest possible.  

The best paintings, one from each age group, from the participating schools should reach latest by 24th March, 2006 at the following address:

CIRCULAR 

FAI YOUNG ARTISTS CONTEST 2006

THEME – AIR SPORTS AND NATURE IN HARMONY

 

Aero Club of India (ACI) – the National Aero sports Federation is the apex body of all the flying /gliding clubs and other aero sports organizations engaged in ballooning, skydiving, parasailing, hang gliding, microlight flying, aeromodelling, para gliding etc. in the country.

 

ACI represents India in the International Aerosports Organization – Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI), Switzerland. The FAI is particularly concerned with all forms of sporting and recreational aviation, including :

 

·        Balooning, Gliding and Parachuting

·        Aerobatics

·        Hang-Gliding and paragliding

·        Microlight/Ultralight Flyuing

·        Model Aircraft

·        Light Aircraft and Helicopter Flying

 

ACI organises FAI Young Artists Contest every year. It is heartening to note that this year also among the participants of Group I, Miss Lakshmi Shree A.J.S. of  BETHESDA N.T.M., SCHOOL, BANGALORE gained the first prize, Gold medal along with the Certificate of Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI), has announced ‘Young Artists Contest 2006’.

 

The theme for the Young Artists Contest 2006 is-

 

“AIR SPORTS AND NATURE IN HARMONY”

  

The detailed rules regarding the said contest viz; eligibility, age groups, format, medium, markings and write-up on “AIR SPORTS AND NATURE IN HARMONY”   are enclosed herewith.

 

You are to give a Certificate of authenticity worded as follows with each painting on the back of the art work in addition to the details listed in Sl. No. 5 of the rules ‘markings’ :-

“ I / We certify that this is the original and unassisted work of …………………  ……………………………………………(name of entrant)” .

 

We certify that ……………………………………………..(name of entrant) is a resident of …………………………………………………..(name of the country)

 

Certificates are to be signed by the entrant’s teacher and School Principal.

 

The best painting, one from each age group , from the participating schools should reach: Aero Club of India, Safdarjang Airport,Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi – 110 003 – latest by 24th March, 2006.

 

ACI shall select maximum of nine paintings, three in each years of birth category, and forward the same to FAI, Switzerland. At FAI, entries from all the participating countries will be judged by an International Jury. The winners in each group will receive Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals, together with diplomas.
