National Commission for Minorities Educational Institutions (NCMEI)
The NCMEI was established on the 11th November 2004 to advise the Central Government or any State Government on protection of the constitutional rights of the minorities to establish and administer educational institutions of their choice and other allied matters. The Commission’s powers have been further amplified through the National Commission for Minorities Educational Institutions (Amendment) Act, 2006.
