13.5. A sum of (pond)250 has been sanctioned to the Y.M.C.A. Indian Students' Union and Hostel, London for 1963-64. The same provision has been made for 1964-65 in the budget of the High Commission.
13.6. An amount of (pond)150 has been sanctioned to the Indian Students Organisations in the U.K. for 1963-64. Against this, an amount of (pond)275 has been proposed by the High Commission for 1964- 65.
13.7. There is a scheme to build an India House (International Students Hostel) at the Cite Universitaire, Paris at a cost of Rs. 35 lakh approxi-

mately. The construction work is likely to start very shortly as most of the codal formalities have since been completed. The building is likely to be completed by the end of 1965.
14. Raising of N.C.C. in Public, Residential and Central Schools.-This scheme under a Plan provision provides for the raising of new N.C.C. troops in public, residential and Central schools and for the continuance of old units raised in public schools under a normal provision. During the year, under the Plan scheme, 17 new troops have been raised in public and residential schools and 16 new troops in Central schools.
15. Scholarships to Cadets from Union Territories.-This scheme provides for the award of scholarships to cadets belonging to Union Territories studying in the Rashtriya India Military College, Dehra Dun. During the period, eight scholarships have been renewed and one fresh scholarship is proposed to be sanctioned.
16. Other Schemes of Financial Assistance.-The Ministry also gives maintenance grants to Dr. Graham's Homes, Kalimpong, and the InterState Board of Anglo-Indian Education. The Union Government are also required to reimburse to the Lawrence School, Lovedale, now managed by an autonomous body, the cost of fees etc. in respect of children entitled to educational concessions under the Lawrence Memorial School (Lovedale) Fund. The financial provisions for these purposes are indicated in the following paragraph.
