NETWORKING AND DEVELOPING CENTRES OF EXCELLENCE IN MANAGEMENT EDUCATION

In the present context of Management Education in India, it is quite essential that meaningful networking arrangements are worked out between leading management institutions, reputed departments of Management in the universities, smaller centres of management education established in the private sector and the professional societies as well as industry and other user organisations. Such networking arrangements should, primarily cater to the needs of academic achievements, joint research, faculty exchange, curriculum development etc. Only by such networking arrangements can the different institutions, organistions and industry be benefited through sharing of knowledge, experience and collaborative efforts.

There is also the need to identify selected management institutions in the University sector for developing them as Centres of Excellence in each region.
