8. Assam.-The Government do not support the proposal.
(Part ' B ' States)
1. Saurashtra.-The Government agree to the proposal.
2. Hyderabad.-The Government agree in principle to the proposal.
3. Mysore.-The Government do not favour the proposal because the development of a harmonious and well coordinated educational policy throughout the country could be achieved by the Central Advisory Board of Education and because the Universities Commission have held the view that education all over the country need not conform to one pattern only.
4. Rajasthan.-While agreeing with the Government of India regarding the necessity for developing a harmonious educational policy for the country as a whole, the Government of Rajasthan are of the opinion that the Constitution of an All-India Educational Service is not necessary for the purpose. Rather in their opinion such a Service might hinder the object in view, the more appropriate method for achieving the object in view being the Organisation of camps, conferences and seminars on an all-India basis at which educationists from the different states would have an opportunity to exchange experiences. The Universities also can contribute materially to the realisation of the object in view.
5. Travancore-Cochin.-The Government is not interested in the Scheme.
6. Madhya Bharat.-The Government do not agree to the proposal.
(Part ' C ' States)
1. Manipur.-The Government of Manipur support the proposal but they are not likely to need an officer of the proposed service for a long time to come.
2. Kutch.-The Government agree to the proposal.
3. Ajmer.-The Government agree to the proposal.

4. Coorg.-The proposal is highly commendable but the Government of Coorg being financially poor will not be able to meet the pay of Officers of the Service, if it is fixed higher than what is being paid now to the officers of the Education Department in the State. Hence either the State of Coorg may be exempted from the operation of the scheme, or the Central Government should subvent the State upto the extent of the extra expenditure involved.
5. Tripura.-The Government is of the opinion that each State may have its own educational service and that officers required for the Centre may be taker) from the States by selection.
6. Bhopal.-The Government of Bhopal agree to the proposal. They have only the post of Chief Inspector of Schools which can fit into the Service.
7. Vindhya Pradesh.-The Government fully agree with the proposal. They have also proposed that the posts of the Director of Education, Vindhya Pradesh; Principal Durbar College, Rewa and the Principal Maharaja College, Chhatarpur may be included in the Central Cadre of Educational Officers.
8. Himachal Pradesh.-The only post in this State which is fit for inclusion in the proposed service is that of the Director of Education. This post has already been included among other posts recommended to the Government of India in the Ministry of States for General, Central Service Class I.
9. Bilaspur.-The Government agree to the proposal.
10. Delhi.-The proposal is good.
