APPENDIX X- 15TH MEETING OF THE C. A. B. OF EDUCATION-VENUE-TRAVANCORE GOVERNMENT'S COMMUNICATION
At their twelfth annual session bold in Mysore in January, 1946, the Central Advisory Board of Education received an invitation from the Travancore Government through Sir C. P. Ramaswamy Aiyer, the then Dewan of Travancore, to "toot in Travancore. The Board expressed their warm appreciation of this invitation and decided that they should hold their annual session in 1948 in Travancore. This decision was reaffirmed at the Bombay Session of the Central Advisory Board of Education held in January 1947.
2. The Hon'ble Minister for Education who is the Chairman of the Centra Advisory Board, however, decided to hold the 1948 session in Now Delhi, in view of of the prevailing conditions in the Country. The Travancore Government were at the same time asked if they would like to hold over their invitation until 1949. The reply received from the Secretary to the Government of Travancore is reproduced below
" I have the honour to inform you that, in view of the several very important constitutional and administrative questions engaging the immediate attention of the Government, it may not be possible to make adequate arrangements to hold the meeting of the Central Advisory Board of Education in Trivandrum early in 1949. I, therefore, suggest that the invitation may be hold over to another less busy year."
The venue of the next meeting of the Board is accordingly for decision.
