APPENDIX Y- PROGRESS OF EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN PROVINCES-DISCUSSION-APPOINTMENS OF A COMMITTEE OF THE C.A.B. OF E
The Educational Administration Committee whose report was adopted by the Central Advisory Board of Education in 1945 recommended that in the event of the Central Government giving a grant to a Provincial Government for an approved scheme of development, the former may require as one of the conditions to be attached to the grant that Provincial accounts should be audited on behalf of the Central Government as well as the Provincial Government though in a single audit. In addition to this, in order to ensure satisfactory cooperation it was suggested that a Committee of the Central Advisory Board of Education should visit a Province once in five years, or oftener if necessary, to discuss the progress of development schemes and other matters of common interest.
2. The progress of educational development is reported to the Board under item III of the agenda. In order to ensure coordinated development in the whole country and in order that each Province may have the benefit of the experience of others, the appointment of such a Committee will perhaps be welcomed by the Provincail Governments. The question of the appointment of the Committee is accordingly submitted to the Board.
