The CABE Committee on Decentralised Management of Education is deeply indebted to the Government of Karnataka for the excellent convention facilities offered by them for holding the meetings both in Delhi and in Bangalore. 2. The Committee expresses its deep appreciation of the invaluable contribution made by Shri P.K. Umashankar, but for him finalization of this report would not have been possible in such a short time.

3. The Committee wishes to place on record its sincere appreciation of the contribution made by Shri Baldev Mahajan, joint Director, NIEPA and Dr. S.C. Nuna, Fellow, NIEPA in preparing the documents for the Committee.
