EPILOGUE
National Policy on Education (NPE) 1986 and the programme of Action (POA') based on the Policy are documents comprehensively dealing with various facets of education. No doubt, serious resource constraints have stood in the way of vigorous implementation of the Policy. This constraint may continue to be felt in the foreseeable future. Especially keeping this in view, the NPE Review Committee has attempted in this report to recomend new approaches and modalities many of which may be cost effective, apart from facilitating better utilization of available infrastracture.
The Committee hopes that the Government may like to bring out a revised Policy in the light of its recommendations.
