* Sept. 14 - 16, 1994 - Participated in the Steering Committee Meeting of International Multi Channel Action Group on Education and addressed the gathering on Open Schooling for Girls and Women in Oslo, Norway.
* Sept 20 - 22 - Participated in a meeting on Electronic Information Technology for Distance Education in UNESCO, Paris; Chaired the final day for finalising the recommendations.
* Oct. 5-9, 1994 - As a member of the Indian delegation, participated in ICE-44 in Geneva and the review meeting of EFA-9; presented India paper on Open Education.
* Oct. 25-27, 1994 - Participated in the conference of Standing Conference of Presidents of Distance Education in Satratoga Spring in New York. Addressed the International gathering from Presidents Panel on Need for International Collaboration in Open Learning.
* Oct. 28, 1994 - Participated in the conference on Non-formal Education in Indian Institute of Education, Pune; presented a paper on Open Schooling and its linkages with nonformal education.
* December 4, 1994 - Chaired a session on Open Schooling in the seminar organised by the Universities and NOS jointly.

S.S. Sangal * Delivered a talk as Resource Person in the Workshop organised on 2.8.94 by the Central Hindi Training Institute, Deptt. of Official Language, Govt. of India. The theme was 'How to do Evaluation in Secretarial Programmes conducted by the Deptt. for Central Govt. Employees'. The participants were the Assistant Directors of the Official Language Deptt.
* Acted as a Resource Person and Expert in Secretarial Practices in the curriculum review/revision workshop organised by National Vocational Training Institute, Govt. of India, NOIDA on 8th September, 1994.
* Attended two-days meeting of Directors of Public Instruc- tions/Directors of Education held at NIEPA on 9-10 November, 1994 and organised by the Deptt. of Education, MHRD to know educational statistics and assess various ongoing educational schemes.

Sushmita Mitra * A paper titled 'Distance Education and Open Learning Ongoing Initiatives and Future Plans for Universalisation of Education' was prepared and presented in the said seminar.
