                     Subjects/     Arabic Language and Literature and Islamic Studies.
                     Fields
        
                    Eligibility    Indian nationals. Age below 33 years (35 yrs for SC/ST). Qualifications for Post-
                                   Graduate and Doctoral Studies 60% marks at Master's degree in the subject.  Post-
                                   Doctoral PhD degree in the subject.  Experience: 2 yrs consecutive teaching/
                                   research after passing the prescribed qualification.  MPhil/PhD is counted towards
                                   one year's experience.  Addl Requirements: Sufficient knowledge about Arab
                                   countries and 2 yrs consecutive stay in India after return from abroad on study/ 
                                   training.
        
                    Value          Monthly allowance as admissible under the rules of the donor country which includes
                                   book allowance, preparation allowance, internal travel, medical care, tuition,
                                   examination and other fees.
        
                   Passage cost    India to ARE and back payable by candidate/employer/sponsor.
        
                   Application     Typed application, duly sponsored by employer if employed with attested copies of
                   Procedure       certificates may be submitted on plain paper as per notified format.
